What If You Just Did It Anyway?

Hey Foodie Fam,

This month, I’ve been sitting with a simple but powerful realization: thinking is not the same as doing. And if I’m being real with you… I’ve spent years thinking myself out of things.

This year, I’m choosing something different. I’m overthinking less and doing more.

Because when I look back, it’s not the big, dramatic moments that held me back, it was the small, everyday decisions I talked myself out of. Not doing the dishes when I should have because I told myself I’d do them later. Self-isolating and staying in the house for longer than I needed to because it felt easier than getting up and going. Not giving my business the structure, it truly deserves, because I kept waiting for the “perfect” time, the “perfect” plan, and the “perfect” version of me.

And here’s what I’ve learned: perfection is a moving target. Action is what actually changes your life.

There’s something powerful that happens when you just start. Not when you have it all figured out. Not when you feel 100% ready. Just… when you begin.

Doing the dishes turns into a clean kitchen.
Going outside turns into feeling a little more like yourself again.
Showing up for your business, messy, imperfect, and figuring it out as you go, turns into growth.

Action builds momentum. Momentum builds confidence. And confidence? That comes after you do the thing, not before.

So, this month, I’m leaning into action in the simplest ways:

  • Starting before I feel ready
  • Finishing what I start (even if it’s not perfect)
  • Showing up consistently, not flawlessly

Because the truth is, the life we want isn’t built in our heads, it’s built in our habits. Do the thing. Then do the next thing. And let that be enough for today. We’re not aiming for perfect; we’re aiming for motion. And I’m right there with you.
